The flood light system consists of the following major components:

FLOOD LTS Control (RI001)
Flood Light Resistor (RI006)
Flood Light Transistor (QI001)
Cockpit Flood Lights (FC003 and FF004)
COCKPIT FLOOD Circuit Breaker (HC021)

System Description
The flood light system provides a variable intensity light to illuminate the cockpit. The lights are located in the aft section of the cockpit overhead. The light intensity is controlled by the FLOOD LTS control on the pilot's lighting/fuel switch panel.

System Operation
The flood light system receives bus voltage from the COCKPIT FLOOD circuit breaker. The intensity of the lights is controlled by a transistorized circuit consisting of the FLOOD LTS control and the flood light transistor. Rotating the FLOOD LTS control changes the voltage on the transistor base; thereby, controlling the voltage the transistor delivers to the lights.
