Returning numeric values by Clicking on Images
A system may need the user to supply a numeric value but sometimes you don't want the user to type in the value and a precise value is not needed. The How To associated with this demo shows how to accomplish this by displaying an Image Map and returning a numeric value that corresponds to the pixel position where the user clicks on the image. For example, the first question below is asking for price. Select a value between 5 and 50 by clicking on the scale in the image. The demo will then display a two dimentional graph where a single mouse click returns both an X and Y value. The results screen shows the 3 values you selected. Remember: When your mouse is an arrow icon, the pixel being clicked on is the pixel at the tip of the arrow.
