Albuquerque = Technology In a recent study of high technology performance, the Milken Institute recognized Albuquerque as the nation's fastest-growing high-tech center with 12.7% annual growth. The city outpaced many national averages, ranking as: - The leading electronics concentration with outputs 37.5 times the average - 3rd highest high-tech concentration with 3.5 times the average - 4th largest in high-tech research & testing concentration, 5.5 times the average New Mexico is the home of two national laboratories, Sandia and Los Alamos, and Kirtland Air Force Base houses the Air Force Research Laboratory, Phillips site.
